‘You  Know’ is the latest offering from Alphonso a slow Jam that deals with Love, Lust and Making Love. .  In November of 2011 Alphonso Stewart released his single ‘Let’s Dance’.  The track, an undeniable dance floor anthem, a panderer’s box of musical fusion comprising of dubstep, R&B and a magnitude of dance! continues to be a success.  A Breath of fresh air to the British urban music industry Alphonso is determined to reach the masses thorough his music..  His live stage performance is energetic and exhilarating. He moves a crowd with understated charisma, oozing passion and perfected harmonies similar to those great rhythm & blues and authentic soul singers of yesterday but still remains defiant in originality.    

 

 Alphonso Stewart has revealed himself to be a gifted artist and extraordinary singer-songwriter a versatile subtle lush, smooth, passionate voice to project a seductive ladies man vibe to rival Maxwell & Usher.  Spanning an array of influences Alphonso has written and arranged songs that take the listener on a journey through different genres from rock and pop to R&B and soul.  Exploring social issues, death, and love his writing is realistic and delves into the paradox of life.  Few artists are able or willing to venture areas sung by Alphonso.  

 

Alphonso emerged into the music scene singing in his uncle’s gospel choir, ‘Clive Brown & the Shekina Singers’.  He was taught how to control his vocal cords and nurture his talent.  During this time he appeared in ‘Alpha Zone’ a television program showcasing young gospel talent, ‘Songs of Praise’ on the BBC, sung at London Arena and the Millennium Dome. Realizing he was more than just a choir member and that he wanted to share his talent with the world he ventured out on his own. He has sung backing for various Artists such as: P DiddyJason Donovan, AnastasiaAndrew Lloyd WebberLeona Lewis and Robert from the X Factor, Simply RedMariah Carey, Chaka Khan in the Stage Play ‘Mama I want to sing, and pop act Kean. As a solo artist his talent was acclaimed; MOBO representatives were impressed by his vocal ability and told him his “songs [written by himself] were of great quality”.  He has sung at various talent showcases always wooing his audience and winning fantastic prizes.  

 

Alphonso has worked with various established producers who have compiled hit tracks for group Liberty X, Romeo, Narda Michael Waden, and The Sugababes. Alphonso’s records have had radio air play on Choice FM 96.9, Bang Radio, On Top FM, Street Life Radio, Supreme FM 99.8, Flames FM 94.4, Ragga FM 99.6 and Urban FM internet radio. ‘Let’s Dance’ video is receiving television air play on KISS, THE BOX, MAGIC and BET music channels.

 

Alphonso is used to performing to large audiences and television recently performing on Deal or no Deal as a contestant, Olympics 2012 Handover ceremony, Nottinghill Carnival 2008.  His past performances include singing at Wembley Stadium Princess Diana memorial concertX Factor ITV, Troxy, Hackney Empire, Hackney Homes community events and other established events.                        

 

As a pioneering artist an identity has been formulated one that once heard can never be forgotten, a unique and distinctive offering to be valued, appreciated and understood. R&B flavor that incorporates romantic grooves, soulful ballads & a hint of rock beats a fusion rarely heard.  He magnificently projects his material with an undeniable personal stamp – sensitive but explosive personality that refuse to be denied.  Alone he is Alphonso Stewart.
